Last night saw three bourbons, Noah"s Mill, Blantons, and ORVW 10yo 107. All excellent bourbons, even tried a vatting of the three (25% NM/35% Bl/40% ORVW) that was excellent.

Happy New Year, tonight will be some Glenlivet 18, Ardbeg Corrvrecken or some of my Kentucky Spirit.

Some Russell's Reserve Tonight. I like it, but for a few bucks more I'll take WTRB.

Some Ardbeg 10 again, polishing it off for some laphroaig cask strength or lagavulin.

Just because i am partial towards scotch over bourbon does not mean i am not a whiskey enthusiast. If you are asking for me to leave i will, all while having a dram of ardbeg in memory of you foureyedfox.

Might do a vatting of ardbeg 10 with the laddie ten before the ardbeg runs out to see what happens i imagine 2/3 laddie with 1/3 ardbeg should be a good ratio.

Found out at my local Bevmo, lagavulin 16 is 80.00 dollars, at my local Costco it was last 54.99, i gotta love Costco.

I'm not asking you to leave, you're as welcome here as I or any other person is. I just think it odd to come onto a bourbon dedicated site and spend 90% of your posts talking about scotch. Most people, myself included, come on here to learn about bourbons. It's fine to be a fan of both, but they each have their place. I, for example, love old Chryslers and Fords, but when I go to the Mopar (Chrysler) Nationals, I don't talk about my Ford Mustang or F150.

That vatting of bruichladdie ten and ardbeg 10 was fantastic. I have high hopes for my next purchase and my evantual purchase of bookers bourbon so i can get back into my first whiskey love.

Have at it old boy. I have vatted a bit of bourbon and Scotch from time to time, but most often I use an American Malt to round the sweetness of a whiskey when I wants to. If you are vatting bourbon to Scotch use a very small amount of wheat bourbon (in my opinion) and if you are vatting a Scotch to bourbon use a very small amount of a softer Scotch (Macallan) with a high rye bourbon. No harm in trying.
