I am having some George T. Stagg 2005 Lot A (Kentucky only release at 130.9 proof) which really goes very well with this small piece of fudge. I reduced the proof to about 105. This is approximately 15 YO bourbon and is on the edge of being too tannic, but it ain't to tannic. It is, however, quite dry.

Since I want to finish off Christmas day with my last sip of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked I will just do that. This is, to my palate, a superb bourbon. I will purchase another bottle tomorrow at about $50. Pretty sure no everyone will care for this boy, but it sure cranks my tractor.

At first I liked it, but after awhile and a few days later, it became to hot/spicey/oaky. I'll stick with the Woodford Reserve.

My wife bought me a brand new set of glasses so I'm breaking them in with WTRB.

I got the 3 bottle set of glenlivet, the 12 year old, 15 year old, 18 year old. Tonight is a glass of the glenlivet 18, i tried it at a bar and this bottle was the exact opposite of the one at the bar, very fruity, with oak, and spice a 4 out of 5 on my book compared to the one at the bar which was a 3/5.

I have plenty, as of late my taste have gone toward scotch, at times i have bourbon like whiskey and ginger ale, tomorrow will be some kentucky spirit because my bottle is near empty and once that runs out it will be one of the few bourbons i get another bottle of.

Peoples taste change and I discovered Islay and it floored me with the maritime notes and strong smoke that bourbon lacks.

Had some Old Forrester, now having a little Knob Creek. The finish on the latter is really hitting the spot tonight.

Our tastes change, evolve, and grow more refined. Some of us with mature palates may stay with the same old thing because we like it but that doesn't preclude other choices.

I'll start with the Wild Turkey Rare Breed, then maybe have a Booker's.
If I'm still thirsty (doubtful), I'll investigate some Buffalo Trace White Dog No. 1.
