I had a taste of Cutty Sark and then I had another of Mt. Gay Extra Old rum. I know this is a site dedicated to bourbon and bourbon was my first love but sometimes (often) I like to drink other things.

I did buy a bottle of Old Forester 75th Anniversary of the end of Prohibition this evening. It was a dusty that I found in a liquor store. I might try that tomorrow.

To me no bourbon is expensive except Pappy, george, and colonel eh. Going to opt for a pour of johhnie walker gold label tonight it is interesting with more smoke and peat than the reviews led me to believe.

birdo,

i finally got around to buying the FC. also picked up a Charter 101. for two bourbons that are right at $16-17 here, i have been quite pleased with both. I remember you kept telling me i should try FC, that you thought id like it.

these two i found pretty similar, except the FC has a bit of the HH taste to it........so i think the Charter 101 is marginally better. id not hesitate to buy either again though

So my friend is having lapband reduction surgery, his surgeon advised him to quit drinking altogether so i got almost all of his alcohol here is the list.
Raynal French Brandy
Hennesy
Blackberry Brandy
Jim Beams Choice in decanter
Johnnie Walker Green Label
Kirkland Speyside 20 year old from Aberdeen Shire
Glenkinchie 10- quarter of a bottle
Aberlour 10 Year Old unopened
Gallo Extra dry Vermouth
Tuaca
Orange Liqueur
Black Licorice Liqueur
4 Wines most red and a bottle of white
2 bottles of sangria
another bottle of brandy
a bar kit with 75% of a bottle of absolut vodka

All in all good times ahead, since he does not want to become an alcoholic he is giving up almost all of his alcohol. i dont drink brandy often any tips on how to enjoy this fine drink.
Tonight some barefoot wine, sure it is cheap but with this heat scotch is not something i want.

Aberlour 10 Year Old, a good dram sure it is a bit simple but in my honest opinion simple is better than overly subtle.
