Foot in mouth. I had a Sam Adams Summer Ale on the patio, it was good.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Sam Adams. Stay thirsty my friends. :)

Torn between 3 whiskies
Macallan 10 Year Fine Oak- an excellent if light scotch, enjoyable since it is hot out in my area
Knob Creek- No need to explain, sweet, smokey, whats not to love
Rowans Creek- Excellent kind of like my halfway point to KS, maybe a vatting of it and knob creek would be a match made in heaven.

id been curious about trying this for a while....

OGD 114 with a few drops of real maple syrup added (not maple flavored corn syrup, but the real stuff).

interesting.....not better, not worse, just a bit different.

Although nothing goes in my bourbon, it doesn't sound too bad.

Some Kirkland's Bourbon. Pleasantly surprised. Can certainly tell it's Beam. It's been awhile since I've had any KC, but I can taste the family resemblance to Baker's.

Before going to see family tomorrow morning, I am going to have some of my Highland Park 12 Year as a high-five to myself for this week and a chance to enjoy a good whisky.

In your honor, GBrough, I had a sip of Highland Park 15 YO. Nice bit of honey and clover with just a whiff of the sea. Wonderful stuff!

Then, I vatted two Stitzel Weller wonders, 7 YO Weller Antique 107 proof (40%) and 8 YO Old Fitzgerald's 1849 90 proof (60%).

As it happens, good as the vatting was, on this occasion, I preferred the Highland Park for its richness, complexity, and super smoothness.

i tried something out of curiosity.........

took about a 2oz pour of KC 120, and added a pinch of brown sugar, dissolved it, and drank it. pretty nice! worked much better than the few drops of real maple syrup i tried adding to the OGD 114 the other day.....too caramely. i never liked the taste of caramel, oddly....i was an odd kid. still am, i guess
