In honor of Bourbon Joe, I am sipping a vatting that came out of his tasting group of a few years back. It is 1/3 Stagg, 1/3 Maker's Mark, and 1/3 Evan Williams 1783. One of Joe's friends concocted this and it won the tasting for that evening.

It is full bodied, full flavored, creamy rich, spiced just right, has enough tannins to build a toy boat, and enough alcohol to float said boat and all who board it.

Haul away the running gear, and blow boys, blow!! Four sheets in the wind, laddie bucks!!

Mike,
That vatting won EVERY tasting that it has been in except one. We've tried to best this vatting and have on a rare occasion but this one hold up to the best of them.

Its understandable, OGD 114 is a whiskey at a good price with excellent quality so far i have not had the pleasure of KC120 yet but i hope to in a few weeks. My next purchase is either highland park 12 year scotch, balvenie 12, or aberlour 12.

I had a stiff pour of "Any Ole BIB" on the rocks, out back on the patio. Had a couple of sips and it was pretty good. Came back a few minutes later and a large black fly was dead in my bourbon. I was glad it wasn't a high $$$ pour.

So I poured it out and called it a night.
