Had a scotch on the rocks. I know even less about scothch than I do about bourbon, but I thought I should try it. It was okay, but I'm sticking with bourbon.

Scotch is good, a Macallan is excellent like the 17 year and their directors edition. Still i find it lacks the burn and overall appeal of bourbon with mine i get tobacco leaf and it makes it hard to enjoy the drink.

I had Kentucky Spirit so far i don't know what i will do when i run out of it.

You can't try "one" Scotch and decide it isn't for you. Scotch is so diverse in it's flavor profiles..... way more so than Bourbon. Just sayin'.

I'm sure you are correct, but my sampling was a one time thing just to see what I thought. It was Johnnie Walker. It was good, but I prefer bourbon.

Why you old Fart, give us a good review. I have not had that bourbon and am curious. I like many Brown Foreman products (Birthday Bourbons, Master Collection, Old Forester). I am having a sip of some old Old Forster, from the 80s I think. At 86 proof it is a soft and well balanced bourbon.

To finish off the evening, a wee sip of Old Grand-Dad BIB. Hard core excellent bourbon, elemental, essential. Might I be so presumptuous as to say that them as passes on OGD were not on board when the train left. Well, no, I guess I may not be so presumptuous, but I sure don't understand it. I have said it several times before, and here it is again, from Old Grand-Dad bourbon, you can go anywhere in Bourbondom because in drinking it, you have touched all the basics.

The Woodford Double Oaked was good - but not great. Actually like the "regular" Woodford more (and Breckenridge more so than that). Will try it again with a maduro - the DO really overpowered the Connecticut I was smoking.

Blantons straight from the barrel. Luscious and silky smooth even at 131.4 proof just an amazing dram. Wow!
