Time to put the hurt on the last half of the Buffalo Trace. It's fine on the rocks or dump it in coke. Good bourbon.

Trying my first Old Forester 86 tonight. Can't say I liked the first couple sips, but it's growing on me.

Nah, but Buffalo Trace is a mixable bourbon. My friend's goofy wife wants BT & Coke, but I substitute Rebel Yell and she doesn't know the difference. :P

Broke out the Pappy 20yr last night. I actually shared a snifter with my future ex-brother in law.

A Willett Rye 5 year SB. Barrel proof at 121.6. Sure is a tasty young rye. Picked it up in Bardstown at the KBF.

Last night I had a dram of the E.H. Taylor Single Barrel that was recently released. Absolutely fantastic bourbon! I also had the new limited release Four Roses small batch which in my opinion is a masterpiece of a whiskey. Gotta love Jim Rutledge.

Tonight, I'm looking forward to a pour of some Rare Breed and I plan on stopping by the store on my way home from work and picking up something else. The question I have to answer is what do I get? I want something I haven't had yet, so do I go with a low to mid-grade or do I get a bottle of something else that's special? Only problem is, if I go with a higher end bourbon, then my limited bourbon selection at home is full of higher end bourbons and nothing I'm comfortable pouring on a daily basis. Right now I have Old Grand Dad (just a pour or 2 left), Four Roses Single Barrel, and WT Rare Breed. Dilemmas dilemmas.

On this site, neither Bourbon HQ, nor bourbonv, nor BourbonJoe, will ever lead you astray. They know bourbon!
Tonight, I am sipping 10 YO 90 proof Old Rip Van Winkle and finding it to be excellent wheat bourbon. It is on the soft side with great barrel qualities and subltey.
