For myself, I prefer JW Black over the green...... I like the nice malt sweetness. I like Bushmills too, and just bought a bottle of the 16 YO a couple of days ago. It is aged in used bourbon barrels and finished in used sherry casks..... makes for a very nice soft malt whiskey. I also like the Jameson Irish whiskies. I do enjoy Highland Park Scotch and always keep some of the 15 YO around. For now, at least, my favorite Scotchs are the cask strength ones from Macallen, Aberlour, and Ardbeg. They are very rich and robust (and need a bit of water to tame the proof) and are usually reasonably priced.
Of the three you mentioned, I would tend to favor the Highland Park for its balance and smoothness...... I think the Black Bush is just a touch harsh (although I haven't had any in a long time) for an Irish Whiskey, as the Green Label is for a blended Scotch.
Only my opinions, suit you own palate.
