I just sampled some Jim Beam Rye. Thinking about a follow-up since it is early.

OK, I think it's time to open up a bottle of OGD.

Made steaks for the family and finished off a bottle of Baker's. What a wonderful bourbon this is. I do believe that a man could be limited to Baker's, WTRB, Lot B, and 4RSmB and have a full life. (not that I'd want to be so limited...but still )

Bakers is very good and I prefer it to Bookers.

had some friends over and poured some Fighting Cock for them. they liked it.

We laughed at Fighting Cock when it first came out expecting a Whisky River sort of thing for the bar crowd. Then we tried it. Yes, the eight year old version was preferable to me but the current bottle is certainly one I can recommend. Good poker night stuff.

last night saw a mix of Jefferson's Presidential and Van Winkle 107. Started out pretty good but turned into something special after letting it sit a bit. Then it was the same VW107 but used Evan Williams Single Barrel. Let it sit and WOW, this one was VERY good. Better than the Jefferson's and I didn't have to use up the spendy hooch. Finished off the evening with some Rock Hill Farms.

Saturday evening was a sort of impromptu gathering of friends.

We enjoyed Makers Mark 46, Jefferson’s Ocean, Old Grand Dad 114, Knob Creek 9yr, Basil Hayden, Kirklands (Costco Bourbon) and some Four Roses Single Barrel as well as some Hookah (double apple) and some of our homemade Lemoncello (too sweet for me but it is good...made with everclear but I dilute it to ~50 proof) while relaxing and hanging with friends.

Hope everyone had a Blessed Easter...weather here in NE Indiana FINALLY warmed up!...although a short cold snap is heading back in for a couple of days.

Finishing up a bottle of Buffalo Trace today.

It's Friday so I'm having some Old Grand Dad BIB.

damn nice day today. My wife and I spent the afternoon working in the yard, and took a break with wine for her, and Larceny for me, while enjoying the weather under the fruit trees.

9 out of 10 nights, youll find me with either HH 6 BIB or Larceny in the glass. Loves me some 90-110 proof HH stuff!

Juar opened up a bottle of OGB BIB. So that's what I'm having tonight.
