Regardless of what can be found out, it's probably not worth all that much. Some more information would be helpful though. You state 12 porcelain decanter, but the dates you entered, 1977-1983, indicate 6. Is the decanter empty or full? Is the seal/cork/top intact and secure? If it has any labels, are they in good shape? A couple of pictures would help.

Cheers! Joe

If you have an email I can send pics to you it's just he decanter we called Barton where you go for tours and they knew nothing about it either said the only one they have ever seen was donated by an old man and they put it on display at the distillery no one can tell me anything about this decanter other than it's so odd and unusual that they haven't heard told it before and yes I said that year because that's the year of the seal it has but it is a 12 not a 6 the cork is inside the bottle the whiskey is gone it won't let me post pics on here idk why

See if you can find it on ebay, it's a great place to sell empty decanters and to see what others have sold for.

I doubt that it is worth much, since it is empty. I suggest that you donate it to the Getz Museum in Bardstown. Bourbon Joe had an interesting Barton Decanter that contained I believe 12 year old bourbon. He shared it with everyone in the gazebo and donated the empty decanter to the Getz Museum.
