Purchased at: | Winchendon, MA (a lucky find) | Purchased for: | $34 | Info on this bottle: | EWSB 1993 - Barreled on 8-18-1993 / Barrel #267 - Bottled on 7-21-2003 | Nose: | Elegant. This is absolutely stunning. I opened the bottle 20 minutes ago and it's already unfolding. Can't get my nose out of the glass... I don't know where to begin. It's one of the finest bottles in my collection to date. Rare bouquet. Perfectly balanced. Vanilla, oak, perhaps a touch of coriander. | Taste: | A ripe and mellow medley of fruit that rivals anything in my line-up. Gorgeous legs. Wow... heather honey, like the old Smith Brothers cough drops. This is so well-crafted and balanced that it's powerfully compelling. A TEN! | Finish: | More, more, more... what a find. Delicate, with a slow and perfect crescendo. Long. As in very long... | Overall: | 5-Star Bourbon at its best. It seldom gets better... BB |

Review from Brewer (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 57) Purchased at: | | Info on this bottle: | Barreled on11/17/93; Bottled on 1/6/03 from barrel number 45 | Nose: | I detect apricots and peach aromas, along with the scent I get while walking in a pine forest. | Taste: | There is a fruit flavor, but it tastes like citrus. I don't detect the apricot/peach that I sensed in the aroma. There is a bit of a lingering pine that comes through in the taste. | Finish: | Oak is noted in the finish which is medium in length. | Overall: | This bottling is more refined and milder than the '92 version. This is a favorable change. While swirling in the glass, long legs form and hang on the sides of the glass. |

Review from Mark (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 51) Purchased at: | | Info on this bottle: | Barreled on11/17/93; Bottled on 1/6/03 from barrel number 45 | Nose: | Light and floral with underlying fruit notes present | Taste: | Bordering on the sweet side it has a decent balance between both sweet and spicy. Alos noted was a bit or corn. I also detected a 'rosy' floral taste. Still a bit on the thin side and 'oily' and still not thick or creamy tasting like many other products. | Finish: | Oak is predominant, but a bit milder than the 92' Vintage. | Overall: | An improvement over the 92'. This one formed nice long trails on the inside of the glass. |
