No taste. like something been sucked out. i tried getting honey into it. did not work. easy on palate then JB black and JD7 easy and some other 86 proof ones.. | | Finish: | can remember. i think it quite heavy bourbon. | | Overall: | over 1 year later the empty bottle is reeking of charcoal. i like that. bottle says "An Old Fashion Sourmesh" "rebust and hearty" "it is amercia's finest bourbon". well like to get something similer but with added taste. and 101 proof. have not tasted other bourbons like this pure charcoal. |

After this you know you're drinking a 101 but not overpowering. No off tastes here. No refinement either. | | Finish: | Short finish but nothing offputting. | | Overall: | A 7 y/o 101 for 11 and change. Makes one wonder why anybody buys Evan Williams with this on the shelf. |
